After majoring in English literature at Kyoto University, Shuhei Fujita went on to study filmmaking at USC film school, where he met Taiwanese filmmakers. Fujita produced Liang-Yin Kuo’s SEARCHING FOR THE ZERO FIGHTERS in Taiwan and Japan. He became involved in the Taiwanese film industry and directed his first feature-length film, QUIET SUMMER, on location in Taiwan. QUIET SUMMER was in the competition for Best Feature Film at the 2005 Philadelphia Film Festival and was officially invited to the Pusan International Film Festival in Korea and FAJR Film Festival in Iran. Shuhei Fujita also co-produced documentary SHONENKO with Liang-Yin Kuo.
